What does it mean to follow Jesus?
We believe that the invitation that Jesus extends to each and every person, is to follow him— to be his disciple. Accepting this invitation means re-orienting our lives around being formed into a person who increasingly resembles the life and teachings of Jesus.

The things we believe shape the person we ultimately become. By engaging in scripture and the teachings of Jesus, we renew our minds by progressively replacing our own images and ideas with the images and ideas that filled the mind of Jesus.

The things we do play a big role in shaping the person we ultimately become. If our goal is to become like Jesus, then we need to adopt His practices into our everyday rhythms— practices based on His lifestyle, His teaching, and His ministry, otherwise known as the spiritual disciplines.

The people we surround ourselves with play a vital role in shaping the person we ultimately become. If we are seeking to be formed into the likeness of Jesus, then surrounding ourselves by other disciples of Jesus is vital.
Our Discipleship Pathway
As a church, we believe it’s our job to create space for people to engage in the teachings, practices, and community of Jesus. From there, we let the Holy Spirit do the rest. Below is the Northridge Discipleship Pathway— a visual representation of the spaces we create for discipleship.
While the pathway is designed to be moved through linearly, we recognize that everyone has their own unique experience and story, and so they come to the pathway at different stages of their walk with God. That’s okay! There is flexibility within this pathway to start where it makes most sense to you, go at your own pace, and even work backwards when needed.
Our hope with the Discipleship Pathway is that it helps you find your place within our church family , and ultimately, encourage you to take deeper steps into your relationship with Jesus and others.
The Pathway
Alpha
A place for questions about life, faith and meaning.

Anyone who is curious about life, faith or meaning, and is willing to have open, honest and respectful conversations.

We run alpha twice per year– Fall and Spring.

Foundations
A place to learn how to follow Jesus well.

Anyone is welcome to join! With that said, if you’re new to the church or new to following Jesus, we think this is a great place for you.

Foundations runs from September - June and you are welcome to join at any point in the year.

Life Group
A place to follow Jesus in community.

Anyone who is looking to take their discipleship to Jesus seriously by committing themselves to gathering with a group of people each week to pray, study the bible, and support one another.

You can join at any point in the year, though we do recommend jumping into a group in September or January.

Focus Groups
A place for shared hurts, needs or questions.

Grief Care | For those managing the loss of a loved one.
Grandparenting that Matters | For those wanting to grandparent well
Conversation Cafe | For ladies wanting to improve their english through conversation.
ESL Bible Study | For ladies wanting. to improve their english by studying the bible.
Empowered MOMS | For single moms looking for community and support.
